Jerry Harris

I accidentally fell into the remodeling business in 1985. My wife, Janet, and I moved to Chesapeake in 1983 so that I could ride submarines in the Navy. As we began buying and fixing up properties around our house, neighbors stared asking me to work on their homes. Before I knew it, we had a business. Through the years I have taken advantage of remodeling education available and have obtained designation as a Certified Graduate Remodeler, a Certified Graduate Builder and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. I have also been lucky enough to have won awards, been selected for the Big 50 Remodeling Hall of Fame and selected as a national speaker in the remodeling industry. Janet is an Occupational Therapist and has guided me over the years in the successful completion of many "accessible" remodeling projects of all shapes and sizes.

My son Jake graduated from Christopher Newport University and has joined us in the company as our marketing manager. My son Josh attends Virginia Tech and is on the Dean's List.

I am proud to be on the Jerry Harris Remodeling Team. I work with the greatest folks who care about everything they do. They bring the can do attitude to every home we work in and inspire me to work harder every day. Thanks for taking the time to read and learn a little bit about us. See you soon.
